I can’t think

I’ll OCR this later with my other *ahem* OCR’d posts that I haven’t edited to add the text.

For those interested, and oh, you SHOULD be interested, check out Grokkery and in particular this post, which I think is pretty enlightening.

  1. Thank you so much for the mention my friend! I am really glad that those two words really impacted you.

While waiting is (as in waiting for yourself to become an amazingly talented writer), taking action is important too. Its those small steps you are going to be focused on that will lead to the bigger movements later. Also keep in mind that the large and medium sized projects are within your reach (just break them down into uber tiny steps, that helps me).

In regards to story… its such a fickle topic. I’d totally recommend Story by Robert McKee as an excellent starting point. Don’t take it as the word from on high, but it at least gives you a solid understanding of story so that you can dive into other works with a better framework. I like screenwriting, and I’d recommend some John Truby as well for genre specific screenwriting.

    Cheers!

    Jonathan
